Louisville¾ The Roundtable Theatre presents Dylan Thomas’ "A Child’s Christmas in Wales" December 21, 22, & 23 at the Rudyard Kipling, 422 West Oak Street.

Dylan Thomas -

one of the best-known British poets of the mid 20th century, is remembered for his highly original, obscure poems, his amusing prose tales and plays, and his turbulent, well-publicized personal life. Widely known for his powerful poetry readings over BBC radio, he became a popular, if not controversial, figure.

Published posthumously in 1955. "A Child’s Christmas in Wales" reveals childhood sentiments that ring true and familiar across oceans and cultures. The language and the tales it tells are warm and humorous, and at the same time contain the child-like darkness of a fairy tale. Old and young alike will enjoy this piece.

Clinton Gill -

Received his training from the University of Louisville, whose influence ranges from the classic movement style of the great Jacques Le Coque, the focused mind-body discipline of Tashimi Suzuki, and the transformational improvisations of Joseph Chaikim and Anne Bogart.

Since the early '90s, Clinton has been closely associated with Louisville’s premiere "Second Tier" theater companies who have made their home at The Kentucky Center for the Arts - The Boat House Troupe, The Necessary Theatre, and The Louisville Repertory Theatre - as well as The Roundtable Theatre, Bunbury Theatre and The Kentucky Contemporary Theatre. During his tenure with these groups he has served as Actor, Director, and Lighting Designer. He has sampled the media from stage, video, radio, concert and film. His work takes him both behind the scenes, and front and center.

Clinton most recently portrayed Francis Hardy in the Roundtable production of Brian Friel's "Faith Healer".
